Check out our very own Mohammad Arifin chatting about his North Metropolitan TAFE journey and his apprenticeship with CWS.
Let’s hear a little about Mo:
“I like making things and putting things together, wether its metal work – and even IKEA furniture!
It great to develop new skills to further my abilities, such as learning Fusion 360 which allows me to design and create.
On a personal side, I love spending time with my family.
Prior to CWS I worked in the warehousing industry for over 7 years. I finally realised there was nothing in that industry that interested me and it didn’t provide longevity. So I decided I needed a trade. Metal work and welding always interested me so I enrolled myself in a pre apprenticeship course at TAFE to improve my chances of getting an apprenticeship.
Having a young family at this time drove me to do my best and stand out in the class and this got me noticed and recommended for a potential position at Callidus Welding Solutions.”
And the rest is history – it’s awesome having you onboard Mo .
